Increasing your rankings and authority on Technorati

How you people know the blog you are visiting is a popular blog? I use certain parameters to know the popularity of a blog like Google page rank, Alexa Rankings and Technorati Authority and its rankings. In today’s post, I will talk about ways to increase a blog authority and rankings on Technorati.

1. Technorati Account – First of all if you have a blog, create an account on Technorati and claim your blog there to start increasing your rankings and authority on Technorati.
2. Dofollow Blogs – Find a list of dofollow blogs by making a search for ‘Dofollow blogs list’ on Google. Also if you spend some time on webmaster, Internet marketing or search engine related forums, you will be able to find many list of dofollow blogs. Sitepoint, DPforum, SoChat, webproworld are some of big discussion forums about internet marketing, search engines, seo, blogging and affiliate marketing kind of stuff.
3. Link Exchange – create a big list of top bloggers in your niche with their contact information. When you have the list, send them the e-mail request explaining that you are willing to exchange link with their blogs. When you do it, try to be as much polite you can and don’t send the same e-mail format to all bloggers in your niche. Create a general e-mail format and then give it the personalized look by filling the information like blogger’s name, blog address, blog title, favorite post etc before sending it to each blogger.
4. Social Bookmarking – create a strong profile on top social media sites and submit your latest blog posts there. I would recommend using Digg, Mixx.com, Sphinn and stumbleupon if you are specially looking for ways to increase your Technorati authority and rankings.
5. Site & blog list – create a list of websites and blogs that are linking to you and then ping all of these URL’s one by one using Technorati Pinging form.
6. Content updation – write quality content on your blog and keep the posts coming to your blog on regular basis. Once you have added a new post to your blog, don’t forget to ping Technorati.
7. Guest blogging – use the blogger’s list that you created in step 2 and ask them you are willing to write a guest post on their blogs. In most of the cases, they will allow you for guest blogging. When you write a guest post for any of blogger in your niche, you will be able to get a quality link for your blog and also will be able to increase your Technorati authority as well.
