There are many things I love about Google webmaster tool due to which I use it on all of my websites and blogs. First of all it gives me detailed information about website crawling, indexing and URL related problems. With this it also gives me the opportunity to submit a Sitemap of my website to help Google to index my website properly. There are many more benefits of using google webmaster tool including information about website links, Top search Queries, Subscribers count etc. Here is the detailed information about the things that I find useful about this amazing tool from Google :
Website Indexing and Crawling
This tool gives you the exact date when your website home page was last crawled by Google. It will also help you know about the number of pages from your site are actually indexed by Google. With this tool, you will know crawling related errors your site have like Sitemap errors, HTTP errors, URL not found, URL restricted by robots.txt, Unreachable URL’s etc. Go though all of these crawling related errors and try to fix them.

Here we know the internal and external links for our website homepage as well as its internal pages. It is only Google webmaster tool where we can get complete list of links for a website that Google actually counts.
‘Pages with External Links’ give us the complete list of links from other websites to our website homepage and its internal pages.
‘Pages with Internal Links’ will show the complete list of link to a website and its pages from the internal pages of this website only.
Sitemaps
This is the section where webmasters and Seo’s can submit their website sitemap to Google for better website indexing. If you don’t have a sitemap ready for your website, create it soon and submit that in Google webmaster tool. Once you have submitted your sitemap here, Google will give you the information about the total number of URL’s submitted and the number of indexed URL’s so far.
Tools
This is the section where you can create and analyze robots.txt file for your website. You can set your website crawling rate and Geographic location if you are targeting people of a specific region in this section. Under ‘Set Preferred Domain’, we specify how Google is going to open our website URL i.e. with www or without www like I set www.scopeformoney.com for my blog.
